Notes:

1) Father, Moishe (Morris) and daughter, Sure (Sadie) arrive together but last names, and town of origin are spelled differently.  My guess is, the ship's agent and/or the Ellis Island immigration officer wrote it down as they heard it (phonetically?)  The same for the town names?

2) Josep (Joseph) arrives alone, 2 years after father and sister.  His last name is spelled differently too.  Was he born in Mechilpol or just working there when he left Russia?  His occupation on ship's manifest is listed as "tailor".  No other family members have their occupations listed.

3) Mother Risie (Rose) arrives with Gittle (Gussie), Rifke (Rebecca) and Mordche (Max).  Their last names are spelled the same as Sure's, but different from husband/father, Moishe and brother Josep.  Town names of Briczany, Berczan, and Bereczan, although spelled differently, they are the same place now in the country of Moldova.

4) The manifest number is the line listed on the ship's hand written manifest of passenger names.
